Hello again!  Since yesterday was the first official day of summer, what better way to celebrate than with a little lookbook?  Special thanks to my lovely friends who managed to pose for me despite the 90-something degree weather.  Y’all are the best!
I am currently sitting in my air-conditioned sunny South Carolina condo thinking up ideas for posts and working up the courage to venture outside (it’s already 90 and it’s 10:00 am).  Nevertheless, the sand is calling my name.  So I think I will cut this post short with a few key points on summer fashion:
  1. Cotton and lightweight jersey are your best friends.  It moves with you, dries relatively fast, and keeps you cool.
  2. Converse Converse Converse.  It’s the shoe of the season.  Personally, I don’t own a pair on these classic shoes that are appropriate for summer, but any sort of versatile sneaker will do.  Two years ago, Keds were my go-to.  This year it’s my purple Reeboks.  The idea is to stay comfy and cute 24/7, am I right ladies?
  3. You can still layer in the summer.  Opt for vests made of lightweight materials or classic denim.
